Raphael Gualazzi - Besame Mucho
From Album: "Raphael Gualazzi ~ Love Outside The Window".
Raphael Gualazzi was born on November 11, 1981 in Urbino, Italy.
After studying piano at the “G. Rossini” conservatory of music in Pesaro, where he focused his studies on classical musicians, Raphael broadened his musical research to jazz, blues, and fusion – working with qualified musicians and professionals and distinguishing himself for his vocals and instrumental skills.
Raphael's music takes its start from the fusion of the rag-time played in the early part of the twentieth century with the lyricism of traditional blues, soul, and jazz. This pianist-singer takes his inspiration not only from the sounds typical of pre-jazz and stride piano (1910's-1940's) belonging to such composers as Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, Art Tatum, and Mary Lou Willaims, but also from the more typical blues styles of Roosevelt Sykes and Ray Charles.
Various “soul” influences inspired by great eclectic artists such as Jamiroquai and Ben Harper add a contemporary dimension to the sound, in a very much personalized style that combines innovative musical trends.
Distributed by Edel-Italia, Raphael Gualazzi's debut album “Love Outside the Window”, produced by Master Studio (artistic production: Gianni Daldello and Velio Gualazzi) has been available since September 16 th , 2005, offering 14 tracks including some important interpretations of famous compositions such as “Summertime”, "Georgia on My Mind”, and “Besame Mucho”.
