Clémentine - Besame Mucho

From Album: "Clementine ~ Soleil".

Clémentine was born in Paris in 1963, her family name is Mitz and she is the daughter of the founder of Orange Blue records, himself a famous collector of jazz records in France. She sings in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Clmentine Whilst she is not widely known in jazz, she is a very famous name in the pop world and it is pleasing that she has not ditched the jazz world, to concentrate on that much more lucrative field. In Japan she is a very popular artiste and she makes regular tours in that country.

Relatively unknown in her own country, Clémentine has enjoyed success in Japan with classic French songs such as "Hymne á L'Amour", from her album "Lumière". She also sings bossa nova-flavored covers of American standards such as "Moon River", and pop songs such as the Beach Boys hit "Kokomo" and "Time After Time" by Cindy Lauper. A fairly prolific singer, Clémentine has recorded over a dozen albums, including "Made in France", "Café Après-midi", "Couleur Cafe", "30 Degrees", "Avec", and "Clementine Sings Ben Sidran".
