Iva Zanicchi (born in Ligonchio, Reggio Emilia in January 18, 1940) is a popular Italian singer.
Iva Zanicchi's career began in 1962 at the Castrocaro Festival of New Voices, becoming third [1]. She won the Sanremo song festival in 1969 with Zingara. In the same year she represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid with Due Grosse Lacrime Bianche. She finished in the 13th place. The competition was followed by a concert at the Paris Olympia and an intense tour of numerous concerts in the United States, Canada, Southern America and Soviet Union, later in Australia and Japan.
