Playlist: Theme from Love Story

"(Where Do I Begin?) Love Story" is a popular song published in 1970, with music by Francis Lai and lyrics by Carl Sigman. The song was first introduced as an instrumental theme in Love Story. The lyrics were added after the theme music became popular.

The song has been covered many times. Andy Williams recorded the biggest hit version (#9 on the U.S. pop chart, #1 on the adult contemporary chart for four weeks). The song would also be recorded successfully by Lai himself (U.S. #31) with a full orchestra, and by Henry Mancini (U.S. #13), Rick Astley, Johnny Mathis, Shirley Bassey, Patricia Kaas, Nana Mouskouri, Paul Mauriat, Donald Braswell and Richard Clayderman. Williams performed the song with Miss Piggy in an episode of The Muppet Show. There is also a Romanian cover of this song, by Aurelian Andreescu, as well as a French one by Mireille Mathieu.

Ray Conniff's version replaced the pronoun "she" (refering to Ali MacGraw's character in the film) with "you".

N.EX.T also covered this song in an instrumental version, in their album The Return of Next, Part 2.

The renowned Persian popstar, Googoosh, who left Iran in 2000 to break 20 years of silence by the Islamic Government, used this song in her "Medley Baen Almalli" track from her Shabe sepid album.

Australian singer Alfio recorded this song in 2008 for his album Classic Rewinds in tribute to Al Martino and 14 other Italian-American singers.

    when is was young i saw a version of love story song (with singer) by techno theme (so like the original but techno)

    till now i have searched all the NET for this music with no result!
    anybody know that at least whats the name of that singer?
    (also i don't remember that that song was English or French or...)
