Anna Prucnal (born 17 December 1940) is a Polish actress in both cinema and theatre, as well as a singer.

Prucnal was born in Warsaw, Poland. After her father, a surgeon, was killed by the Nazis during World War II, Anna and her sister were raised by their mother, who was of noble descent and related to the 18th-century King of Poland Stanislas Leszczyński. After studying piano and lyrical song, Anna Prucnal went on an acting career at the Studencki Teatr Satyryków, in Warsaw.

Prucnal first appeared in a movie at the age of twenty-two in the film “Sun and Shadow” (Slăntzeto i siankata), a popular release. In 1970, Prucnal moved to France and embarked upon a theatrical career, appearing in a number of plays by Bertolt Brecht. She worked with many important directors including Jorge Lavelli, Georges Wilson, Roger Planchon, Jean-Louis Barrault, Marc’O, Petrika Ionesco, Lucian Pintilie and Jacques Lassalle. She also appeared in several notable films, the most notorious of which was Dusan Makavejev's “Sweet Movie”, which Polish authorities deemed to be pornographic and anticommunist. As a result, Anna was banned from using her Polish passport, effectively exiling her from her homeland.

During the 1970s, Anna developed her career as a singer. Her album “Dream of West, Dream of East” was popular, initially in France, then Belgium, worldwide and, finally, in Warsaw in 1989… to celebrate the bicentenary of the French Revolution, and representing a homecoming of sorts for Anna. ... Read more

Rolling Stone magazine ranked him at No.3 on its list of the "100 greatest guitarists of all time". According to Edward M. Komara, King "introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending and shimmering vibrato that would influence virtually every electric blues guitarist that followed." King has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Leo Wright (December 14, 1933 in Wichita Falls, Texas - January 4, 1991 in Vienna) was an American jazz musician who played alto saxophone, flute and clarinet.

A first-rate bop-oriented alto saxophonist, Wright was also one of the finest flutists jazz has known. He studied saxophone under the tutelage of his father. His first recording was made in 1958 with vibist Dave Pike; the next year, he played the Newport Festival with bassist Charles Mingus' group. Wright joined Dizzy Gillespie's band in 1959, remaining until 1962. In addition to his sideman work, Wright established himself as a leader in the early '60s, leading New York-based bands that included the likes of bassist Ron Carter, pianist Junior Mance, drummer Charlie Persip, and guitarist Kenny Burrell, among others. In 1960, he recorded the record for which he is perhaps best-known — ... Read More...

José del Refugio Sánchez Saldaña (Altamira, Tamaulipas, 3 May 1921 – Mexico City, 6 October 2000) better known as Cuco Sanchez was a Mexican singer and songwriter who wrote dozens of hits, including Anillo de Compromiso, Anoche Estuve Llorando, Por qué Peca Esa Mujer, Fallaste Corazón, Cama de Piedra, and Arrieros Somos.

His songs were performed by various singing stars: Vikki Carr, Pedro Infante, Miguel Aceves Mejía, Amalia Mendoza and Chavela Vargas. His recording career began in the mid-1930s and at the start of the next decade, the singer became actor, as well. In all, he composed nearly 200 songs, including numbers for some of the movies he acted in. The popular composer and singer died of liver failure on 6 October 2000, in Mexico City. He was 79 when he died. "Sanchez recorded his first song at the tender age of 13, and six years later, was signed by Mexico's largest media company. Spawning numerous hits, and composing music for several movies in which he also acted, Sanchez remained a popular actor of film and television, as well as a hit songwriter. ~ Read more from Wiki
