Their beginnings are not clear, though most stories have them becoming accomplished guitar players after finding a guitar near Ceará, Brazil. Playing in Rio de Janeiro, they found success as Natalicio and Antenor Lima - dressing in ceremonial Indian costumes. Using classical guitars and playing transcriptions of classical violin and piano works, they were soon playing all over South America.

Probably as early as 1943, RCA's Latin American arm signed them to a recording contract. In the early 1950s, they took a break from performing and went back to study the guitar. Often called "The Mexican Madonna," Latin pop singer Yuri was born Yuridia Valenzuela Canseco in Veracruz on January 6, 1964; a musical prodigy, at age nine she was offered a scholarship to study dance with the Bolshoi Ballet -- she declined -- and as a teen fronted the group Yuri and the Electric Apple. After relocating to Mexico City in 1978, she cut her debut single, a Spanish-language rendition of "You Light Up My Life," (which translated as "Tu Iluminas Mi Vida") and also doubled as the title of her first LP. A co-starring role in the film Milagro en el Circo followed before Yuri scored a hit with the title track of her 1980 sophomore LP, Esperanza; Llena de Dulzura followed a year later, becoming the first record by a female Latin American singer to earn a gold record in Spain. His voice remembers those from artists like Craig David and Usher; and his style mixes R&B, Soul and Pop.

The first Pierre N'Sue's professional work was in the duet S2, with his pal Austin, in a record called "Dulces Mentiras" (Sweet Lies), released thru Warner Music Spain.

Los Hijos del Sol is the name of an international grouping of Peruvian cumbia, blending jazz, folk music, the Negroid and tropical music. Angel Anibal Rosado García its leader and founder is considered the most complete composer composers Peruanos.

On January 2 they released their first single "If I want" and then in 1979 they recorded "Cariñito" indifference with which this group.  They have done concerts in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico and other countries more.

Los Pasteles Verdes was a Latin pop group most popular in the 1970s. They originated in Chimbote, Peru, but performed for many years in Mexico.

Los Pasteles Verdes was founded by guitarist Víctor Hugo Acuña and keyboardist Cesar Acuña, who are brothers; they had previously played together in The Jeekstones and Los Benkers. In 1973 they formed Los Pasteles Verdes with singer German Laos, drummer Jorge Luis Principe, bassist Miguel Moreno, and percussionist Juan Vásquez. In 1974, another singer, Aldo Guibovich, joined the group. Their first hit, a success across Latin America, was "Angelitos Negros", which preceded the release of their debut Recuerdos de Una Noche.
