Los Panchos (also Trío Los Panchos) is the name of an internationally known bolero trio.

Los Panchos were first formed in 1944 in New York City by Alfredo Gil (Mexican), Chucho Navarro (Mexican) and Hernando Aviles (from Puerto Rico). Each member of Los Panchos played a guitar and sang with unequalled harmony.

Los Panchos reached fame internationally with their romantic songs, especially in Latin America, where they are still regarded as one of the top trios of all time. They sold millions of album copies within a few years of being founded.

Between 1946 to 1948, Los Panchos performed in the United States, including a performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.Los Panchos first began touring internationally in 1946. Later that year, Los Panchos moved to Mexico, considered the capital of Spanish-language music where many Latin and Iberian artists have jumped to international fame. They were welcomed with open arms and XEW-AM, the most popular radio station in Mexico City, reserved a time slot for their music. Maridalia Hernández was born in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, in 1959. She was fully trained as a lyrical singer, pianist, cellist and music teacher.

Maridalia Hernández (born Maridalia Hernández Morel) made her live debut in 1981, while participating in a musical called Sonido Para Una Imagen (Sound For An Image) produced by José Luis Mella. Soon, the talented Dominican singer played the role of Maria Magdalena in Jesucristo Superestrella, the Spanish version of Jesus Christ Superstar. In 1983, Maridalia Hernández teamed up with Juan Luis Guerra to assemble the successful bachata-merengue outfit 4:40.

Helmut Lotti (born Helmut Lotigiers on October 22, 1969 in Ghent, Belgium) is a Belgian popular singer and songwriter. The son of Luc Lotigiers and Rita Lagrou, he began his singing career with a visual and singing style in an obvious imitation of Elvis Presley, and was described as "De Nieuwe Elvis" (in Dutch) or "The New Elvis". His first two albums were Vlaamse Nachten ("Flemish Nights", 1990) and Alles Wat Ik Voel ("All That I Feel", 1992). After a few more albums, he changed direction in 1995 with the first of what became a long series of "Helmut Lotti Goes Classic" albums, which proved to increase his popularity. Since 2000 he has also made successful recordings in traditional Latino, African and Russian-style music.

Helmut Lotti sings fluently in Dutch and Afrikaans, English, French, German, Russian, Hebrew, Italian, Latin, and Spanish. He has sold over 13 million albums worldwide and received over 90 platinum and 70 gold albums.

Pedro Vargas (April 29, 1904 – October 30, 1989) was a famous Mexican singer of the 20th-century. His "official" nickname was "The Samurai of the song".

A native of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Vargas was a classically-trained tenor. He originally sang opera, but gained fame performing renditions of popular songs. Throughout the late 1930s, he made a number of musical and acting appearances. In total, he achieved over 70 screen credits.

In 1942, Vargas performed at the White House for President Roosevelt. He also performed in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela. Vargas was well known in Mexico, and often ended performances saying, "very grateful, very grateful, very grateful".

Unlike other singer-actors of the time, Vargas was not known as a "hearthtrob" or galane, like Jorge Negrete or Pedro Infante.  ~ From Wiki

Maria Trinidad Perez de Mille Miravete (July 12, 1947, Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia - April 6, 2009, Murcia) , known artistically as Mari Trini, was a Spanish singer and composer.

Mari Trini emerged as one of Spain's most popular and influential pop stars during the final years of Francisco Franco's rule, writing and recording a series of feminist protest anthems that challenged the perception of women in music and in Spanish society as a whole. Born María Trinidad Pérez de Miravete in Murcia on July 12, 1947, she endured an often hellish childhood -- a chronic kidney disease confined her to bed from the ages of seven to 14, with corticoid treatment to blame for the deformities that scarred the left side of her face. During her confinement, Trini studied music, wrote her first songs and taught herself guitar -- although doctors declared her condition "incurable," she ultimately escaped her sickbed and began her career as a folksinger, settling in Madrid and performing at the Avenida de América nightclub Nicha's, owned by the renowned American filmmaker Nicholas Ray. While Ray arranged for Trini to travel to London to study dramatic art under actor Peter Ustinov, his promises of a movie role came to nothing, and in 1963 she relocated to Paris, where she remained for more than four years. During this period Trini befriended the French composer Jacques Brel and cut her debut single "Bonne Chance," capturing a deeply intimate, profoundly melancholy intensity that earned her comparisons with the legendary Edith Piaf. In the wake of her father's 1967 death, Trini returned to Spain, where she signed to RCA and in 1969 issued her self-titled debut LP -- featuring a handful of originals alongside material from songwriters like Luis Eduardo Aute and Patxi Andión, the album attracted little attention, but the follow-up, Amores, proved a smash, generating a series of hits including "Un Hombre Marchó," "Mañana," "Cuando Me Acaricias" and "Vals de Otoño."

Over time, the bohemian chic of Trini's earlier recordings gave way to a mainstream pop approach, complete with lush orchestral arrangements -- while albums like 1982's Una Estrella en Mi Jardín enjoyed brisk sales, her stardom waned across the decade to come, and after 1987's En Tu Piel, she did not resurface again until 1990's Espejismos, with a five-year hiatus preceding her next release, Sin Barreras. Luis Enrique Gatica Silva (* Rancagua, Chile, August 11, 1928), better known in the artistic as Lucho Gatica, is a famous Chilean singer of boleros.

The younger brother of Chilean vocalist Arturo Gatica, Lucho Gatica was a major Latin vocalist in the '50s and '60s. In 1966, his record sales totalled more than 22 million copies. In addition to his chart-topping 1954 hit "Sinceridad," Gatica recorded such hits as "Contigo en la Distancia," "La Barca," "Las Muchachas de la Plaza España," and "Señor Amor."
