For more than ten years Doktor Zoil has been active in the music world. His live musical appearances have explored many varied musical genres (from Rock Blues to Soul, Jazz Funk, Brazilian and so on). He works in his own studio and label, the Tam Tam Studio Recordings, and this gives him even bigger scope to experiment with musical styles. He started since 1998 producing several remixes for different productions (with names as Zoil, Kowalski, Reverend Zoil) sometimes in collaboration with Paolo Scotti (co-founder of Easy Tempo and Studio Uno, and actually producer and owner of DeJaVu Records). In 1999, he was a founder member, coordinator and producer of VIP200, a meteoric and critically-acclaimed group that made a huge splash with their debut album "Psicoerotica", following a major tour of Italy and abroad.

Doktor Zoil career included some ground-breaking collaborations with artists such as dj Maxwell Implosion, Maki Nomiya from Pizzicato Five, the german soundtrack composer Peter Thomas, the brazilian singer Pat C, the Montefiori Cocktail, the italian organ player and composer Sam Paglia, the new jazz combo Mop Mop, the MagnetiC4, the italian soundtrack composer Roberto Pregadio, Monsieur Blumenberg and the italian guitar player and composer Bob Dusi. Since 2001, Doktor Zoil enjoyed a close collaboration with Francesco Adinolfi (radio speaker, writer and journalist) in the Ultrasuoni Cocktail RAI RADIO 2 Show. This collaboration generated various remixes, as well as conducting the Ultrasuoni Orkestra (dj, samples, and musicians playing live during the radio show). From this "radio show experience" started the SETTEBELLO UNLIMITED project with Kikko Montefiori, a powerful duo moving for parties all around Europe.

Doktor Zoil first album RIViERA BOOGiE includes many different kind of music, and probably it could be defined such as a kind of compilation, where you can always hear his particular style and personal touch. This was probably one of the reasons why many tracks from this album became tv commercials, especially in South Korea, where Doktor Zoil is well known (recently he played as dj at Eastronika Party 2006 in Seoul together with big artists as Konishi Yasuharu, Sunaga T, Dj Jinu). "Spooky" (taken from Riviera Boogie album) became the official LEVI'S Jeans TV commercial 2005/2006 in South Korea and Turkey. ~ From www.doktorzoil.com

Claude Challe (born Claude Shalom in 1945 in Tunisia) is a French DJ and club impressario of Tunisian descent. He is perhaps best known as the founder of Buddha Bar.

At age three, Claude Challe arrived in France. Growing up with a potent fascination with Asian mysticism and a deep respect for ancient cultures, Challe attended Rabbinical school and studied Judaism as a young man.

Challe's manual dexterity as a DJ was foreshadowed in his youth, when at the age of 19, he opened a forward-thinking hair salon in Paris, for which he quickly became known as "the man with the golden scissors." As Parisian jet-setters flocked to his door, Challe abandoned the salon and lived-out a hippy dream as part of a tribe in Sardinia, Italy. Soon thereafter, Challe travelled to India, Nepal and Indonesia. He reportedly tries to combine Occidental elements with spiritual elements in his music.

Challe returned home to France and was introduced to the sounds of New Age musicians Andreas Vollenweider and Ennio Morricone. He soon became addicted to the country's burgeoning nightlife.

Challe managed a series of France's most famed hotspots, including Le Prive in 1974; Le Centre Ville in fashionable Les Halles (1979); Les Bains-Douches (1984); El Divino in Ibiza (1992); and - perhaps most notably - Buddha Bar in 1996. The chic restaurant / club became a popular destination for Europe's most glamorous people and it was subsequently the inspiration for Challe's immensely successful Buddha Bar mix compilations.

Challe went on to enjoy success with huge events such as the "Reveillon de Mondes" event for 50000 people, held at Vincennes and produced in conjunction with Radio Nova.

By 1996, Challe launched the record label Chall'o Music. Challe has been quoted as saying, "I consider the art of DJ-ing to be the passion of life. When I'm DJ-ing, I give myself to the people. When I play, I'm in the music."

Today, Claude Challe's DJ booth comprises three Technics SL-1200 series turntables; four Denon dual-drive CD players or two Pioneer CDJ-1000 digital decks; and either a Rane or an Allen & Heath mixer. ~ From Wiki
