Shahrdad Rohani is an Iranian composer, violinist/pianist, and conductor.

His style is contemporary (sometimes even New Age), especially when compared with his mentors/inspirations, Anoushiravan Rohani and Javad Maroufi. He is probably most known for arranging and conducting the Yanni Live at the Acropolis concert, an open-air concert with the London Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra in the Parthenon, Athens, Greece. This concert was acclaimed by both critics and audience and became the most widely viewed program ever shown on Public Television in United States and is the second best-selling music video of all time.

Having been educated since childhood at very prestigious schools has made him into a grand maestro, winning awards in various countries and composing in varied styles. He studied at the Academy and Conservatories of Music in Vienna, Austria, and received several important scholarships and awards both in Europe and United States. These include the A.K.M Scholarship, Vienna, Austria, and the ASCAP Scholarship, Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Rohani is the music director and conductor of the COTA symphony orchestra in Los Angeles. He has appeared as a guest conductor with a number of prestigious orchestras including, the London Royal Philharmonic concert orchestra, Minnesota Symphony orchestra, Colorado Symphony, San Diego symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Zagreb Philharmonic and the American Youth Symphony and others.

From Album: Caravelli ~ The Best Of Screen & Musical Theme (1996),  Caravelli, real name Claude Vasori (12 September 1930) is French orchestra leader, composer and arranger.

This easy listening conductor and arranger was born September 12 of 1930 in Paris, France, from Italian father and French mother.

He was initially instructed in music by his mother in piano and voicing/harmony at seven years old, and later, when he was thirteen he started to attend the Paris Conservatoire. At twenty he was professionally touring, accompanying singers on piano, and his first son, Patrick was born (his daughter two years later).  When he was 26 years old he started as orchestra conductor.  In 1959 with the help of famous French jazz bandleader Ray Ventura, he obtained a contract to form his own orchestra oriented to popular music.  In 1956 Caravelle Aerospatiale introduced the twin jet Caravelle. This plane was the first jet created for the short-haul market. The first Caravelle entered service for Air France on May 9, 1959. France was proud of it. So Claude took this name which he turned more Italian in honor to his father origins, changing the last letter: “CARAVELLI et son Violons Magiques/& his Magnificent Strings” was born.

He signed a contract with the French record label Versailles. His first album “Dance Party” is recorded (issued also in STEREO). So under Versailles licenses his early recordings are edited in other countries (20th Century Records in USA, Ariel in Argentina and Discophon in Spain, etc.)  In 1962 he composed Et Satan conduit le bal original soundtrack under his real name, French film starred by young Catherine Deneuve. An EP record was issued in France.  In 1963 he composed Accroche-toi Caroline! which was used by the British Broadcasting Corporation as the theme to Vision On.

Later Versailles is acquired by Columbia records (1964). Thanks to CBS worldwide distribution facilities soon he started a real international career, obtaining gold records in France, Japan, Israel and South America.

André Rieu was born into a musical family on October 1, 1949 in Maastricht in the Netherlands. He began studying violin at the age of five. His father was a conductor. From a very young age he developed a fascination with orchestra. He studied violin at the Conservatoire Royal in Liège and in the Conservatorium Maastricht, (1968–1973). His teachers included Jo Juda and Herman Krebbers. Timo Tolkki (born March 3, 1966, in Nurmijärvi, Finland) is best known as the former guitarist, songwriter, and producer of the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius. He left Stratovarius in 2008 and formed a new band, Revolution Renaissance.

From the periods spanning Stratovarius' first three albums, Tolkki's guitar playing was noticeably more progressive and hard-edged than at present; particularly making use of lower-register power chords — often in Eb tuning — and sometimes heavy palm muting, thus giving earlier Stratovarius songs a rather dark and unnerving tonal/atmospheric quality (particularly evident in the Dreamspace album). However, following Kotipelto's arrival as lead singer, Tolkki's style has since shifted gradually more towards the traditionally speedy and melodic format of power metal; adopting such elements as neo-classical phrasing (in a style somewhat reminiscent of other established virtuosos such as Yngwie Malmsteen), and various fast shredding techniques.
